Founded in 1998 by Donna Overton, Draftek is a Scottsdale-based company specializing in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) to create dimensionally accurate vector drawings utilizing the most top-of-the-line software. Draftek provides these services for several disciplines, including Architectural, Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, and more.

Draftek is able to offer lower project cost due to a company business model that minimizes overhead and staffing yet provides the design, architectural, and engineering services usually only found in larger firms. This unique structure improves project quality because Draftek is threaded throughout the entire project, from concept to final as-built drawings.

With other firms, there is often no link between mechanical and electrical engineers, but because Draftek is involved throughout the project, coordination between trades is monitored, time and resources are maximized, and duplication is avoided.

Additionally, during the design phase, any and all changes made by one discipline are immediately relayed to the affected designers - reducing the likelihood of often costly field changes. Also, throughout the process, Progress Reviews are created by Draftek and their engineers to get customer's direct input, incorporating their ideas into the design process. Finally, at completion, the work from all trades are reviewed and coordinated to minimize field interferences.
